Hey! I'm
Cleo Reyes,

Hi! I'm Cleo, welcome to my website! ✨
I'm an undergraduate at the University of Washington - Seattle, studying Informatics and Computer Science. I'm passionate about building software solutions that are secure, scalable, accessible, optimal, and impactful. My experience and interests span from full-stack development, human-computer interaction, security, AI/ML, to distributed systems.
When I'm not on my laptop, you can often find me exploring new cafes and restaurants, making my way to the gym, trying to perfect my coffee recipe, or dancing/singing to my favorite songs (usually on repeat 🎶).
Feel free to reach out if you would like to chat or have any questions, I would love to hear from you! You can also view my resume.

Building Markets to allow merchants to create unique shopping experiences.
Seeing how product and engineering decisions affect real merchants has shaped how I think about building for impact at scale.
September 2025 - PresentSeattle, Washington
Engineered an AI-powered recommendation system in CloudWatch Logs that suggests optimal telemetry config rules to improve observability and monitoring across customer AWS resources.
Working on observability tooling deepened my focus on making complex systems understandable and actionable for users.

Conducted programming language and human-computer interaction research for a new interactive programming language.
January 2024 - January 2025Seattle, Washington
Built new CI/CD pipelines and internal tools, developed new features, and enhanced accessibility for neuroscience research applications.
June 2024 - August 2024Bothell, Washington
Conduced NLP research for an AI-driven mental health chatbot to assist patients and caregivers in managing their mental health.
June 2023 - January 2024Rune
An automated AI red teaming platform that detects vulnerabilities like exposed system prompts, leaked API keys, and PII extraction, then auto-generates secure solutions.
This project reinforced how important security is by default—and how much I enjoy building tooling that helps others ship safer software.

GetService
GetService connects college students with peer-provided services, offering a safe, social marketplace that empowers student entrepreneurs to grow and showcase their skills.
Building a full-stack marketplace taught me to think in systems—auth, state, and user flows—and to prioritize clarity for both users and future maintainers.
